MEGA Overview
Kar-Tech's MEGA series transmitter melds rugged durablilty and an exceptionally intelligent wireless module together in an ergonomic, handheld-sized enclosure. The glass filled nylon enclosure was designed to be extremely shock-resistant: it's further surrounded by a protective boot, and holds room for up to 25 pushbuttons, single or dual action, in various layouts or 18 with the optional backlit LCD display. The electronics are based on our standard best-in-class wireless platform or our award winning MINI series system. Both systems incorporate full two-way communication to alert the operator at the handheld of any machine-side information: low battery, error codes, sensor inputs, etc. The MEGA is flexible enough to mate with our low cost MINI receiver, our high-powered VC-series receivers, or our industrial line of receivers for in-plant operation. Easy access to the sealed battery compartment allows the user to swap out batteries quickly without damaging the internal components, and we have designed this system with a low parts count so that every item is field-replaceable by the end user.

Basic Technical Info:
The MEGA series receivers operate between a range of +9 to +35VDC or 100 - 265VAC on the industrial receiver, and are protected for voltage spikes and reverse battery. They have an operating temperature range of -40C to +85C, and run on standard alkaline batteries providing over 25-150 hours of continuous usage depending on configuration.
