Kar-Tech Wireless Deadman kits are safe, smart, and affordable. With our 900 MHz Long Range mesh remote control, you can control up to 5 pieces of equipment from up to 4000 feet in real-time with one wireless Deadman transmitter or combination of six transmitters and receivers. This combination allows you to set one transmitter to one receiver, five transmitters to one receiver or three transmitters to three receivers for multiple operator multiple equipment use. They are designed to meet the rigorous requirements for Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 2 based on the IEC61508 standard and Performance Level (PL) d based on EN ISO 13849-1.
Our wireless Deadman system starts with a receiver with two independent solid-state sourcing outputs rated for 5A each - one which turns ON when Deadman switch is pressed and turns OFF as soon as switch is released. The second output turns ON when Deadman switch is pressed after receiver power up and turns OFF when switch is released but requires recycling receiver power to clear the output. The Industrial receiver designed with two from A relays rated at 6A each and comes with 110-240 VAC power supply. The mobile DC receiver takes 9 - 30VDC. Bothe receivers are epoxy potted for total protection. And because the name of the game is safety - there are redundancies at both the transmitter and receiver. The transmitter uses two normally open switch contacts in series for redundant protection, and the receiver uses the third output to activate the two main outputs. It's important to note: these are all two-way radios in a mesh configuration so that the operator has real-time indication of machine issues and radio link status!
