Kar-Tech wireless Deadman kits are safe, smart, and affordable. With our wireless mesh control, you can safely stop up to nine pieces of equipment in real-time with one wireless Deadman transmitter. It is designed to meet the rigorous requirements for Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 2 based on the IEC61508  standard and Performance Level  (PL) d based on EN ISO 13849-1.  

Our wireless Deadman system starts with a receiver with two independent solid-state sourcing outputs rated for 5A each - one which turns ON when Deadman switch is pressed and turns OFF as soon as switch is released. The second output turns ON when Deadman switch is pressed after receiver power up and turns OFF when switch is released but requires recycling receiver power after to clear the output.  And because the name of the game is safety - there are redundancies at both the transmitter and receiver. The transmitter uses two normally open switch contacts in series for redundant protection, and the receiver uses the third output to activate the two main outputs.

Only one transmitter is needed to command up to 9 receivers, so that a single operator can safely stop up to nine pieces of equipment. It's important to note: these are all two-way radios in a mesh configuration so that the operator has real-time indication of machine issues and radio link status!
